The Deutscher Frauenverein zu Pretoria which came into existence in 1921 and celebrated its 95th year in 2016, is a voluntary Non-Profit Organisation and is an Association of members for the operation of social services and facilities.
The Deutscher Frauenverein zu Pretoria is the owner of the Deutsches Altersheim Pretoria (DAP) and the Deutsches Senioren Wohnheim (DSW).
Deutsches Altersheim Pretoria is a Non-Profit Organisation and provides a home for our Senior Citizens, serving the needs for independent living, boarding and frail care and consists of the following:
Frail Care - 33 Beds
Altersheim – 32 Single Rooms with bathroom and balcony.
Defra (Independent Living) – 47 Apartments (34 Bachelor Apartments, 13 one bedroom Apartments)
One Garden Flat – used either as Independent Living or Assisted Living.
Deutsches Senioren Wohnheim (DSW) has 72 Apartments, all of them with a 8m² balcony.
15 Apartments = 62m²
12 Apartments = 72m²
45 Apartments = 80m²
